Welcome to Sudbury Primary School and thank-you for taking the time to visit our site.
Sudbury primary School is located in the historic, picturesque village of Sudbury. We are a small, caring school at the heart of a friendly community. Our recent Ofsted Inspection (January 12th 2016) judged us as a 'Good' school which is, "...improving quickly and has made good progress since the last inspection." The inspector commented that Sudbury Primary School provides a, "...good quality education in a positive learning environment," and was extremely impressed by the respect our pupils show towards one another: "Pupils value each other. As one pupil said, 'We all respect each other; we are all individuals.'"
At Sudbury, we are very proud of our extensive grounds and realise that we are very lucky to have such a large outdoor space. We use this space to extend our learning and enjoy our playtimes. All children have their own pair of wellies in school which are used in all weathers! As we are a Forest School, our children are provided with the opportunity to extend on their classroom learning in a practical way as well as develop their independence and try new things. As we provide a safe, happy and caring environment, our pupils are confident to take risks in their learning and express their individuality through our creative curriculum. This, alongside the high expectations which are held by all staff, ensure that pupils are enthused by their learning and achieve their potential
One of the things we are all very proud of at Sudbury is the family atmosphere which is present throughout our school. Age is no barrier here; all children play and learn happily alongside one another, with the oldest looking out for their younger friends and supporting them in gaining confidence. Pupils
