Behaviour

At Sudbury Primary School, we believe that every child deserves an education that sparks curiosity, nurtures confidence, and lays the foundation for lifelong learning. Our vision is beautifully simple yet profound: to create an environment where learning is fun, education is valued, and every child is empowered to reach their full potential.

Simply, the school rules our pupils live by are to

Be Kind, Stay safe and Do your best

Our school community is built upon five core values that shape everything we do:

Compassion - We foster kindness and empathy, teaching our children to care for others and contribute positively to their community.

Respect - We embrace truth and mutual understanding, creating an environment where every voice is heard and valued.

Resilience - We encourage our pupils to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and develop the strength to persevere.

Responsibility - We empower our children to take ownership of their learning journey and understand their role in both their education and the wider world.

Integrity - We guide our pupils to always act with honesty and strong moral principles, helping them develop into trustworthy and principled individuals.

These values aren't just words on a wall - they're living principles that guide our daily interactions, influence our teaching approaches, and help shape the character of every child who passes through our doors. At Sudbury Primary School, we believe that by embedding these values alongside academic excellence, we're not just preparing children for the next stage of their education – we're preparing them for life.

To support our pupils, we have daveloped a Values curriculum. The five school values have been mapped out across the school year and interwoven with the Fundemental British Values set out below (more information can be found about our British values here) Progression is planned to develop pupil understanding across the academic year, deepening their understanding of how school and British values look at a school level, a local level, a national level and globally.
