Special educational needs and disability (Send)

Here at Sudbury Primary School, we are incredibly proud of the inclusive and compassionate environment we provide for learners with special educational needs. As a small school, we have the opportunity to get to know every child and their needs which allows us to identify any barriers to learning at an early stage of education.

Our special education needs and disability coordinator (SENDCo), Georgia Fish, qualified with the NASENCO award from Nottingham Trent University in 2017 but has been a SENDCo since 2015. Having worked for 7 years in a junior school with high levels of SEND, she has a wealth of knowledge, understanding and strategies to help Sudbury in our pursuit of inclusion and excellence.

We are also very proud of out fantastic team of teaching assistants who support children within the classroom and in 1:1 and small group interventions.
