Eco Committee

We have 8 children that have been selected for the eco committee. Children had to apply to be considered to join the committee.

The group meets to discuss ways we can improve our school and become even more eco friendly with tips in our newsletters, fundraising events and an increased awareness of all things environmental from the pupils.

We are excited to announce that our school has made the decision to work towards Eco-Schools Green Flag accreditation https://www.eco-schools.org.uk

It is a programme that focuses on empowering young people to lead environmental education and action in their school, local community and beyond. It does this through a seven-step framework that turns pupils into forward-thinking, decision making, planet protectors! Our pupils already have a clear passion for protecting our environment and have impressed us with their interest in joining the eco-committee and are full of super ideas! It has been proven that Eco-Schools consume less water, use less energy and produce less waste, which creates financial savings which can be spent on important educational resources!
