Work of the Week
It's been another busy week for so many of you and once again, I've loved hearing about your adventures, whether it's sleeping in dens or visits from the tooth fairy (Leif, did she come?!). If it's something you're proud of, I'd love to hear about it, too! You can email me with your news, questions and pictures of your work on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Friday 3rd April
Watch the video below and then complete worksheet 5 on p111 of your workbook.
When you have finished, have a go at the mastery challenge. If you can't print, don't worry, you can still write your answers down.
What have you learnt about 3D shapes? Can you find any in your environment? Have a go at the Maths Journalling task. Draw the object which matches the shape on the sheet and write your answers next to it. You can use your exercise book to record your answers.

Monday 30th March
This week, we are going to be learning how to tell the time. It's Chapter 16 in your textbook. Have this in front of you - you'll find the clock faces easier to read rather than just looking at them on the screen. Watch the video and then have a go at worksheet 1.
Today you are gong to be seeing if you can work out which 3D shapes have been used to make different models and structures. Watch the video and then try worksheet 5 on p79 of your books. Check your answers on the sheet below.
The sheet below has a range of fun Easter-themed activities for you to try. Have a lovely holiday, we hope you enjoy some of the ideas here and look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for the summer term activities on Monday 20th April!
Wednesday 1st April
Invent a new animal! Draw it and then write a paragraph to describe what it looks like, what it sounds like, how it moves, and what it eats. Is it scary or cuddly or something else altogether? Would it be a pet or live in the wild?
You each have a profile on GetEpic. If you visit https://www.getepic.com/ you can join our class page. Email me for the class password!
Visit www.spellingframe.co.uk. Click on either the Year 1 or Year 2 page and look at the spelling words for this week. Have a go at the free games. How many can you get correct?
30th March: Spelling Rule 2
Work through your Home Learning pack at your own pace.
Remember to keep on reading! Share a story and take time to discuss the book.
Which is your favourite character and why?
What do you like about this story and why?
What are the main events in this story?
Would you recommend it to a friend and why?
I would love to know what you've been reading! You could email me a book review and we can create a class collection of recommended reads online!
In your pack there is some topic work to choose from as and when you wish to. This is the topic web which you will have received a copy of too.
